The Concept
After undergoing numerous iterations and refining various concepts, I gravitated towards the notion of integrating a nest using simple curved lines. Exploring numerous approaches, I encountered challenges with clichés until achieving an optimal balance in the design showcased here. Its understated elegance ensures it doesn't overpower, yet grabs attention effectively.
The Design
To create the logotype, I curated a selection of sans-serif typefaces, seeking forms that were compatible with the nest illustration. From here, I iterated through various lockup arrangements until achieving a cohesive integration where the nest was purposefully nestled within the typography. Throughout this process, I remained cognizant of the logo's readability and scannability across different scales, particularly considering scenarios like viewing from a distance, such as on a construction site banner.
I emphasized the utilization of a soft blue hue as the primary color within the branding, drawing inspiration from the serene essence of the ocean to solidify the brand's connection to its Florida locale. Pairing this color with a sans-serif typeface maintained an inviting and amiable brand persona, while upholding a sense of reliability and professionalism.
